The Sacramento Bee is the leading newspaper of northern California.

There are several ways to access the Sacramento Bee:

  • In print and microfiche:  The paper is recieved daily and we keep the last 6 months in the Media and Microform area on the 2nd floor.  Older versions (1857-2011) are available on Microfilm.  You are able to look through the print newspaper to see if there is an article you would like to use or read.

  • Online: An electronic subscription is available from 2008- Follow the steps below to search the Sacramento Bee for an article.

To use the online version:

  1. Open the link "local e-journals"
  2. Write down the username and password
  3. Open the link "Sacramento Bee e-Edition"
  4. Login using the username and password you wrote down
  5. Today's edition of the Sacramento Bee opens
  6. Click the "Search" tab and search for a keyword or topic to find articles

Additionally, a tutorial is available on how to search the Sacramento Bee.
