You are able to search and find library books using the library catalog: http://opac.csuchico.edu/.  Just search for your topic/subject by typing a keyword or keywords.  Once you click "search" a list of books with those keywords will be listed on a result list.

For example, if you were looking for "How has renewable energy helped the economy" you could use the keywords: renewable energy and economy.

From this search this book is found: "Renewable energy: its physics, engineering, use, environmental impacts, economy, and planning aspects" http://opac.csuchico.edu/record=b1696011~S13

From the information in the catalog, you can find the book using the call number and location of the book.  Make sure it is available and not checked out. More information on locating a book when you have the call number is available at: http://www.csuchico.edu/lins/handouts/locatebooks.pdf
